Client Emails for Hitachi Hard Disk Recovery

Hitachi Deskstar 7K300
Hello. I am experiencing a problem with my 3 TB hard drive. Recently I tried to update the firmware on my Hitachi Deskstar 7K300 drive, and for some reason, Hitachi’s Hi-Test updating program cannot detect the drives. To solve this issue, I tried to run DOS, but apparently even the DOS program cannot detect the hard drive. I found that Hi-Test does not work on Windows Vista or 7, so I decided to install XP on a desktop. The Hi-Test program was able to detect other Hitachi hard drives except for this particular one I’m having trouble with. I also found that the DOS program can detect the 3 TB hard drive via SATA only but I still cannot access the data.

Hitachi Deskstar 500 GB Internal Hard Drive
Where do I begin? My 4-year-old personal computer recently died on me, and so I decided to remove the hard drive to check if I can still access the saved files. What I need to do now is convert the internal hard drive into an external drive for the laptop computer I have that’s working. I decided to use a converter cable that can be used for IDE/SATA to USB, and I’m sure it will work since it previously worked with an old hard drive. The main issue here is that I can’t find anything to connect the cable to the Hitachi hard drive. There are two adjacent slots on the internal hard drive, though. One of the slots features 7 gold connection points, while the other one has 15 gold connection points. There are also two corresponding sockets on straps in the box. As I could not connect the hard drive I got a friend who is a computer engineer to connect up the hard disk. He connected the drive but it would not work. He diagnosed the hard disk and confirmed that the hard disk was making beeping noises and recommened a data recovery company.
