SYNOLOGY NAS RAID5

Hello. I have a problem with a disk inside a SYNOLOGY NAS which uses RAID5 as its data storage protocol. There has been no problem until recently, when I was just checking the disks to make sure that nothing was wrong. While doing the TRIM test, the disk showed up as ‘Abnormal’. I am having a problem copying data form the Raid 5 system and I am getting time out errors and abnormal messages. I did a little research on the subject, and the reasons why I might be getting the Abnormal message, and it seems to be that there is a Multi-Zone-Error.

SYNOLOGY DISKSTATION EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

I am using a Synology DiskStation external hard drive, and have been having some problems with reading the disk. It says that the disk needs to be formatted before I can use it. I had formatted this disk many moons ago when first using it in the Synology DiskStation, so I thought immediately that there might be a problem. I tried to do some kind of drive recovery through Disk Management, and the computer was not able to initialise the drive, and reported an i/O error. I also ran a recovery program which I downloaded, and now the drive is reporting that it is working in Disk Management, and that all of the storage space can be used. The data on it appears to have gone, and I really don’t want to format the disk again. I need some of the data which is included on the drive, and I don’t want to lose it again.
