The Synology came in with two drives throwing bad sectors and the volume collapsed. We imaged all four members, rebuilt the Btrfs metadata, and handed back a complete file tree.
A textbook head-stack failure after the impact. We sourced a matching donor, carried out an in-house head-stack swap, and imaged the drive successfully on the second pass.
We imaged all five drives independently, reconstructed the parity offline, then rebuilt a virtual array from the images. The NTFS volume came back with every client file intact and the whole job forensically logged.
